Handicap International, in partnership with other INGOs, concluded its project on inclusive disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) by celebrating the International Day for Disaster Reduction on October 11.

HI put up an interactive exhibit in a major shopping mall in Manila. The display included a scale model of a restroom and an evacuation center with universal, accessible design.

A national conference was also held, attended by celebrities and government officials, including the head of the Philippine council for disability affairs.

Some persons with disabilities also talked about their experience as DRRM champions in their communities.
